Wrights Stain
stain is used in microscopy for staining blood smears. It is generally used to differentiate and identify leucocytes, malaria parasites, and trypanosomas. It is based on a mixture of methylene blue and eosin.

Methylene Blue (Loeffler) (Microscopy Stain)
This Methylene Blue Loeffler formulation is commonly used as a counterstain in the acid fast bacilli staining methods.It is also useful for observing varieties of bacteria such as Corynebacterium diphtheria, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria, etc .The Loeffler's formulation can also be used to detect Helicobacter pylori in paraffin sections and touch smears of gastric mucosal biopsies.
